Gimp
is the best image manipulation program for Unix-Computers. It is very easy to make extensions for it. Here are my pages and extensions:
Plugins
A Plugin to create an pagecurl effect
A Plugin to do a proper Floyd-Steinberg dithering.
An unusable Plugin to provide a Buttonbar for the Gimp. Yes - I mean unusable!
A Plugin to reduce the number of colors
Script-Fu's
A Script-Fu to export complex Files in a less complex file-format
A Script-Fu to sharpen images without increasing the noise
A Script-Fu to scale images down so that the additional horizontal resolution of an LC-Display gets used. Not useful for classic CRT-Screens.
A Script-Fu to handle HTML-Imagemaps
A Script-Fu to make an effect similiar to the pixelize plugin.
